Shimla, March 7 -- The body of a 50-year-old man was recovered from his apartment in the New Shimla area after neighbours informed the police that he had not opened the door of his residence for a long time.
Senior supperintendent of Police Garauv Singh said onFriday that a team from New Shimla police station reached Block-50, Sector-4 and opened the door of the apartment in the presence of witnesses due to suspicious circumstances. Inside the room, the body of Pravesh Kumar (50), son of Bihari Lal, a native of Thural in Kangra district, was found.
Police said the deceased was living alone in the apartment and had taken voluntary retirement from the post of executive engineer in the Electricity Department.
