New Delhi, Aug. 25 -- The body of a 15-year-old boy was recovered on Tuesday, nearly four days after he fell into an open drain while chasing a kite in southeast Delhi's Jasola, ending a desperate search during which his father was seen clearing garbage from the drain with his bare hands, saying, "If this garbage is removed, my son will be found."Mithun, a Class VIII student whose family hails from Uttar Pradesh, fell into the fast-flowing drain at around 11 am on Saturday (August 22) while running after a kite.
The family alerted authorities nearly an hour later, triggering a multi-agency search involving the Delhi Fire Service, Delhi Police, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), divers and rescue personnel.
