Lucknow, Aug. 28 -- Six bodies have been recovered from Gandak river in the Maharajganj and Kushinagar districts, which were flown into Uttar Pradesh following a flash flood on the Nepal-Tibet border on Wednesday morning.
On Thursday, authorities in Maharajganj and Kushinagar pulled three bodies each from the Gandak (Narayani) river. No one has been identified yet. Rescue teams are continuously monitoring the situation.
Meanwhile, monsoon rains have caused rivers to overflow in the state, particularly in the Bundelkhand region.
