New Delhi, March 3 -- The Moon will glow a dramatic shade of red on Tuesday evening as the first total lunar eclipse of the year unfolds in the sky. But for most of India, the celestial spectacle will remain out of sight or, at best, only partially visible.

Skygazers in the northeastern states will have the best chance of witnessing the so-called "Blood Moon". Cities such as Agartala, Aizawl, Dibrugarh, Guwahati, Imphal, Itanagar and Kohima are expected to get a clearer view as the eclipse progresses after sunset.
