Bhubaneswar, May 23 -- Blood cancer is no longer an incurable disease but can be treated successfully, Prof. (Dr.) Manas Ranjan Sahoo, Vice-Chancellor of the Odisha University of Health Sciences, said today.

The dreaded disease can be defeated and the patient can lead a normal life, Prof. (Dr.) Sahoo said while speaking at a program organised ahead of the World Blood Cancer Day at the Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital here.

The programme was organised by the hospital's Departments of Clinical Hematology, Hemato Oncology and Stem Cell Transplantation.
