Shimla, July 9 -- Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Thursday accused the BJP of jeopardising Himachal Pradesh's interests in the Kishau dam project, claiming that the previous agreement would have caused heavy financial losses to the state had the saffron party remained in power.
He said the Congress government had rejected the earlier agreement in 2023 and renegotiated the terms to safeguard the state's interests. He claimed the revised agreement would generate an additional annual revenue of about Rs 600 crore for Himachal Pradesh, describing it as a major achievement towards strengthening the state's economy.
