Chandigarh, May 11 -- Tensions escalated in Ludhiana on Monday as Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers staged a massive protest outside the Police Commissioner's office, leading to heated physical altercations with security personnel.

The demonstration was organized to protest against a previous confrontation that occurred on May 10, when Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers reportedly surrounded the BJP office, leading to a scuffle between the two political factions.
