Hyderabad, July 27 -- The State BJP on Monday welcomed the Telangana High Court's direction to remove HYDRAA Commissioner A V Ranganath from his post, calling the verdict a setback for the Congress government.
In a statement, BJP state president N Ramchander Rao alleged that HYDRAA had become a tool for high-handedness under the guise of removing illegal constructions and demanded that the government dismantle the agency. He claimed the BJP had consistently maintained that action against encroachments should not target poor people and small farmers.
