Shimla, May 4 -- Himachal Pradesh BJP president Rajeev Bindal on Monday said the party's emphatic victories in West Bengal, Assam and Puducherry reflected a strong public mandate against Congress rule and reaffirmed people's trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.
Addressing a celebration event organised in Solan to mark the BJP's performance in the three states, Bindal termed the outcome as "a referendum against Trinamool Congress rule" and said the results indicated a decisive political shift across the country.
He said that after nearly 40 years of "misrule", West Bengal was witnessing a historic transformation with the BJP appearing set to form the government.
