Bengaluru, June 25 -- Karnataka BJP on Thursday urged the Election Commission of India (ECI) to immediately halt a parallel voter roll revision exercise initiated by the State Election Commission (SEC), alleging that the move could create confusion among voters and undermine the integrity of the electoral process.
In a representation to Karnataka Chief Electoral Officer V Anbukkumar, Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Chalavadi Narayanaswamy sought ECI intervention against what he described as an "unauthorised and conflicting" Special Intensive Revision (SIR) being undertaken by the SEC in 27 wards of Bengaluru.
