Thiruvananthapuram, April 3 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has demanded that the Election Commission of India immediately take over the control of drinking water distribution in State capital, Thiruvananthapuram, alleging deliberate disruption of supply in several parts of the city during the election period.

Raising the issue, BJP State General Secretary Adv S Suresh said the Commission must intervene urgently and bring water supply under its direct supervision to ensure fair and uninterrupted access to essential services for the public.
