Palampur, May 13 -- The BJP on Tuesday released its vision document for the Palampur Municipal Corporation elections, promising to develop the town into a "jam-free, drug-free and well-organised city" with special emphasis on tourism promotion and memorials for martyrs.
Addressing the gathering, BJP MP Rajiv Bhardwaj and former Himachal Pradesh Assembly Speaker Vipin Singh Parmar said the document was a roadmap for Palampur's holistic development.
Parmar said the BJP would establish a grand martyrs' memorial honouring war heroes, including Saurabh Kalia, Somnath Sharma, Vikram Batra and Sudhir Walia, besides naming key entry points of the town after martyrs.
