Bengaluru, Sept. 2 -- : The BJP has turned its 'Ballari Chalo' padayatra into a direct political challenge to the DK Shivakumar government, with state president B Y Vijayendra daring the Chief Minister to dissolve the Assembly and seek a fresh mandate if the Congress government cannot deliver justice to Dalits, backward communities and farmers.

The challenge marks a sharp escalation in the BJP's campaign against the Congress government, shifting the focus from individual corruption allegations to its broader claim that the government has lost the mandate to govern.
