Neeraj BaliChandigarh, July 31 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Punjab on Friday announced a six-month statewide programme to mark the 650th Prakash Parv of Sant Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj, with the ceremonial arrival of sacred soil from Varanasi in Punjab on August 1 set to kick-start a series of religious and public outreach events across the state.
The sacred soil, brought from Varanasi, revered as the birthplace of Sant Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj, began its nationwide journey on July 29 and is scheduled to enter Punjab through the Jharmari border near Lalru on Friday morning.
