Hyderabad, Nov. 4 -- Telangana BJP President N Ramchander Rao on Wednesday expressed solidarity with the protesting non-teaching employees of Osmania University (OU) and demanded that their long-pending grievances be resolved immediately.
He visited the protest site in front of the university's administrative building, where non-teaching, technical, time-scale and contract employees were demanding implementation of pension benefits, regularisation of services and improved healthcare facilities.
Rao criticised the university administration for failing to provide job security, fair wages and pension benefits to employees who had served for 25 to 30 years.
