Shimla, June 24 -- BJP will observe June 25 as 'Samvidhan Hatya Diwas' across Himachal Pradesh to mark the 50th anniversary of the Emergency, with senior party leaders holding programmes, exhibitions and events to highlight what they termed as the "darkest chapter" in India's democratic history.

Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, senior BJP leader and former minister Suresh Bhardwaj alleged that the Congress had no moral right to lecture others on constitutional values as it was responsible for imposing the Emergency in 1975 and curtailing democratic freedoms.
