Hyderabad, Sept. 1 -- Telangana BJP president N Ramchander Rao on Tuesday criticised the Congress government's 1,000-day rule, describing it as "Praja Vanchana Palana" rather than "Praja Palana" and alleging that the government had failed to fulfil its major election promises.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Nagar Police Station after his arrest, Rao questioned the government over the implementation of its guarantees and commitments to farmers, youth, employees and various communities.
He alleged that the Congress had promised Rs 15,000 per acre under Rythu Bharosa, but reduced it to Rs 12,000 and was also failing to disburse the amount on time.
He questioned the status of the promise to extend the scheme to tenant farmers.
