Hyderabad, April 21 -- The BJP has announced a "Jan Akrosh Padyatra" in Hyderabad on April 23 to protest what it termed as the anti-women attitude of the Congress party and its INDIA alliance partners.

BJP Telangana State president N Ramchander Rao, in a statement, alleged that the Congress has historically hindered women's progress and accused it of opposing the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Parliament.

He said the padyatra, aimed at expressing public outrage, will begin from the GHMC office and proceed to Indira Park via Domalguda. The party has called for large-scale participation, particularly from women, to highlight the issue.
