Hyderabad, May 21 -- BJP Telangana state president N Ramchander Rao on Thursday alleged that incidents of illegal cattle transportation and cow slaughter were increasing in Telangana, particularly in Hyderabad, ahead of the Bakrid festival, despite the existence of cow slaughter prohibition laws.
In a statement, Rao strongly condemned the police action against cow protectors and BJP workers, alleging that those peacefully trying to protect cows and uphold the law were being illegally arrested and subjected to bind-over proceedings.
