Bengaluru, May 10 -- Karnataka BJP President Vijayendra Yediyuuappa on Sunday accused the Congress government of a "complete collapse" of law and order after gelatin sticks were found along the route scheduled for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's movement in Bengaluru hours before his visit.

Calling it a "serious security lapse" and an "unpardonable failure", Vijayendra said the recovery of explosives on a road earmarked for the Prime Minister's convoy exposed glaring deficiencies in the state's security machinery. He demanded a thorough investigation into the incident and strict action against officials allegedly responsible for negligence in ensuring the Prime Minister's security.
