Ranchi, March 30 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday sharpened its attack on the Hemant Soren government by targeting Kalpana Soren over her alleged silence on the death of a minor girl in Hazaribag district.
Addressing a press conference, BJP state spokesperson Rafia Naz accused the ruling dispensation of political selectivity and insensitivity, and alleged that the state government had failed to respond adequately to crimes against women.
Referring to the Vishnugarh case, she said the opposition had been forced to take the issue to the streets and alleged that the government had failed to show urgency in the matter.
Naz also welcomed the Jharkhand High Court's suo motu cognisance of the case and demanded a high-level probe.
