Mumbai, Aug. 1 -- Maharashtra BJP chief spokesperson Navnath Ban on Saturday slammed Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut and party chief Uddhav Thackeray, alleging that they had "auctioned" both their party's Hindutva principles and political independence by aligning with the Congress.
Addressing a press conference at the state BJP office, Ban also accused Raut of making baseless remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi which gave an impression that Raut had "lost his mental balance." He said the people of Maharashtra had rejected Raut and his party.
