Shimla, March 13 -- BJP state media in-charge and MLA from Sri Naina Deviji, Randhir Sharma, has strongly criticised the decision of the government of Himachal Pradesh to exclude the State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau, Himachal Pradesh, from the ambit of the Right to Information Act, 2005.

He stated the move as unconstitutional and authoritarian. In a statement issued here on Friday, Sharma said a state government does not have the authority to dilute or undermine a law enacted by Parliament.

He alleged that the decision taken by the state government raises serious constitutional and democratic concerns as it weakens the spirit and objective of the RTI Act.
