Ranchi, May 3 -- Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi on Sunday said the BJP has written to Chief Minister Hemant Soren seeking a special session of the Jharkhand Assembly to discuss the women's reservation bill.

Marandi said the party had been seeking time from the Chief Minister to discuss the issue but did not receive an appointment.

Marandi said, "It is unfortunate that time was not given for discussion on such a serious issue."Addressing a press conference at the state BJP office, he said the party wanted to request the Chief Minister to convene a special session and pass a resolution in support of the women's reservation bill to be sent to the Centre.
