Mumbai, Oct. 22 -- BJP Maharashtra chief spokesperson Navnath Ban on Thursday said he would urge Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to order a Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe into an audio clip played by Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarange Patil to establish its authenticity.
Addressing a press conference at the BJP's state headquarters, Ban said a thorough investigation was necessary in view of the growing use of artificial intelligence (AI) to create fake audio recordings and videos.
In the age of AI, it has become difficult to determine whether an audio clip or video is genuine or fabricated.
Therefore, the truth behind the clip played by Jarange Patil must be established through a detailed investigation, Ban said.
