Nagpur, July 4 -- : Senior Congress leader Nana Patole on Saturday alleged that the BJP and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) were trying to shield the "real culprits" in the alleged Ram Temple donation scam and would eventually make "someone a scapegoat" while ensuring that the masterminds escape scrutiny.
Addressing reporters in Nagpur, Patole accused the BJP and the RSS of betraying the faith of devotees by allegedly misusing funds collected in the name of the Ram Temple.
He demanded a fair, transparent and impartial probe into the alleged scam.
He claimed that although action might be taken against a few individuals, those allegedly responsible for orchestrating the scam would remain beyond the reach of the law.
