Shimla, July 31 -- BJP MP and former Himachal Pradesh BJP president Suresh Kashyap on Friday questioned the state government's decision to grant a third extension in service to Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu's Principal Advisor and retired IAS officer Ram Subhag Singh, alleging that the move had raised serious questions over transparency and governance.
In a statement issued here, Kashyap asked why the government was repeatedly extending the tenure of the same officer and whether there was any compelling reason behind the decision.
He alleged that the repeated extensions had fuelled suspicion and demanded that the government explain the necessity of the move.
