Shimla, Sept. 13 -- Himachal Pradesh BJP chief spokesperson and MLA Rakesh Jamwal on Sunday opposed the state government's proposal to reintroduce lottery, saying the decision should be reconsidered instead of extending the tender deadline after an inadequate response from prospective lottery companies. Jamwal said the initial tender submission deadline, fixed for September 14, had now been extended to September 28 due to insufficient competition.

He questioned whether the extension would address the concerns surrounding the proposed lottery system and urged the government to withdraw the decision.
