Neeraj BaliChandigarh, Aug. 29 -- Three Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) lawmakers attended the cremation of former Congress leader Sajjan Kumar, drawing attention within the party over their presence at the funeral, sources said.
The lawmakers-Lok Sabha MPs Kamaljeet Sherawat, Ramvir Singh Bidhuri and Yogender Chandolia-were among those who attended the cremation ceremony, according to the sources.
The development comes against the backdrop of Kumar's conviction in cases related to the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, one of the most contentious episodes in India's recent political history.
