Chandrapur, April 21 -- Former Maharashtra minister and BJP MLA Sudhir Mungantiwar has filed a police complaint against a private company and an official of the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB), alleging pollution-related crop damage in a village of Maharashtra's Chandrapur district.

According to Mungantiwar, a delegation comprising himself and farmers from Belsani village submitted the complaint at Ramnagar police station on Monday.

In the complaint, he alleged that the company has been causing significant environmental pollution since 2024 by operating coal washeries in the area.
