Siliguri, May 7 -- Following the sensational murder of a close aide of senior BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari, the Siliguri Police Commissionerate hasissued security advisories to several BJP leaders and functionaries considered close to the party's senior leadership.
According to BJP leaders, police officials contacted several local leaders on Wednesday night, urging them to remain cautious and follow specific security protocols until the formation of the new government.
Sources said that after the murder, senior police officials particularly alerted BJP leaders in Siliguri and adjoining areas who had actively campaigned alongside Adhikari during the recent Assembly elections, including in the Bhabanipur constituency.
