Bhubaneswar, April 22 -- The Odisha unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday organised a massive "Jan Aakrosh Mahila Padyatra" in the state capital, protesting against the alleged obstruction of the Nari Shakti Vandan Act in Parliament and expressing solidarity with women's outrage.
The padyatra from Exhibition Ground to Lower PMG witnessed participation from women across various sections of society, many of whom wore black badges as a mark of protest. The demonstration culminated in a roadside meeting, during which effigies of opposition leaders were burnt.
