Kurseong, June 16 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Tuesday iterated his government's commitment to all-round development of the Darjeeling Hills, stating that the BJP government would continue to work for the region as the people have consistently reposed their faith in the party since 2009.

Addressing a civic reception organised jointly by various hill-based political parties, social organisations, development boards and community groups at the Monteviot Ground here, the Chief Minister said the state government was preparing both short-term and long-term development strategies for the region.
