Patna, July 7 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has fielded Abhishek Kumar as its candidate for the upcoming by-election to the Bankipur Assembly constituency in Bihar.
BJP National General Secretary and Headquarters In-charge Arun Singh said in a release here today that the party's Central Election Committee has approved the candidature of Abhishek Kumar for the bypoll. He is a long-standing BJP youth wing (Yuva Morcha) leader.
With the declaration of its candidate, the BJP has formally kicked off its campaign for the prestigious urban constituency.
