Mumbai , Aug. 7 -- Former BJP General Secretary Vijay Chaudhary was arrested by the Nandurbar Local Crime Branch (LCB) from Dhulia Road in connection with a viral audio clip case, officials said on Friday.
The arrest has triggered political activity across Nandurbar and the wider Khandesh region, with police registering a case against Chaudhary over alleged objectionable remarks against women party office bearers.
Police said an FIR was registered at Nandurbar City Police Station against Chaudhary for allegedly making objectionable remarks against women office bearers of the party in the purported audio clip that circulated on social media.
