Kolkata, May 27 -- Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Rahul Sinha on Wednesday said that the party does not need defectors from the Trinamool Congress (TMC) to join its ranks.

Sinha said that the TMC was facing an internal collapse after losing access to what he described as the "cut money culture".

Several TMC leaders have stepped down from organisational positions, including councillors from various municipal bodies such as the .

On Wednesday, Trinamool Congress MP Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar resigned from all her posts within the party organisation, further fuelling speculation of unrest within the TMC ranks.
