Ranchi, March 28 -- Jharkhand BJP president and Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu on Saturday demanded strict action in the alleged rape and murder of a minor girl in Hazaribag district and warned of protests if the accused were not arrested within 24 hours.
Addressing a press conference at the party's state office here after visiting the victim's family in Vishnugarh area, Sahu alleged deterioration in law and order and sought capital punishment for those involved.
He said BJP workers would take out torch processions in Hazaribag on March 29 and consider a bandh on March 30 if police failed to act within the stipulated time.
