Shimla, Aug. 6 -- Senior BJP spokesperson Rajinder Rana on Thursday launched a sharp attack on the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh, accusing Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu of economic mismanagement, political vendetta.
He alleged that Sukhu was running the administration through a "syndicate" of close associates instead of established institutional mechanisms.
Addressing a press conference here, Rana alleged that the state government had pushed Himachal Pradesh into an unprecedented financial crisis despite record borrowings.
He claimed that the government had raised loans exceeding Rs 1.44 lakh crore but failed to translate the borrowings into visible development works.
