Hyderabad, May 25 -- Telangana BJP State President N. Ramchander Rao on Monday accused the Congress government of failing to ensure timely grain procurement and causing severe hardship to farmers across the state.
As part of the three-day "Raithu Gosa-BJP Bharosa" yatra, a BJP delegation visited the Parigi Agricultural Procurement Centre at Kulkacharla in Vikarabad district and interacted directly with farmers facing delays in procurement. Ramchander Rao alleged that heaps of paddy were lying unattended for the past 10 to 15 days due to shortages of gunny bags, tarpaulins, lorries and delayed weighing procedures.
The BJP leader said farmers were anxiously waiting at procurement centres without clarity on when their grain would be lifted. ...
