Ranchi, April 22 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday alleged irregularities in the implementation of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) in Jharkhand and accused the state government of failing to ensure transparency.
In Ranchi, state BJP president Aditya Sahu claimed that cases of alleged fraud and financial irregularities were being reported from different districts under the scheme.
Citing an instance from Markacho block in Koderma district, he alleged that funds were misused through fake muster rolls and measurement books. He further alleged that payments were made despite disruptions in work, indicating possible lapses at the administrative level.
