Ranchi, June 2 -- : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday alleged that the Jharkhand Government was not acting swiftly enough in the investigation into the alleged treasury scam and demanded a time-bound probe into the matter.
Addressing a press conference at the party's state headquarters here, BJP state spokesperson Pratul Shah Deo claimed that documents sought by the Accountant General (AG) for a special audit had not yet been provided by the state government, delaying the audit process.
He alleged that despite the government's recommendation for a special audit in April, the relevant records had not been furnished to the AG, preventing the commencement of the exercise.
