Palampur, Oct. 7 -- BJP leader Trilok Kapoor on Tuesday alleged large-scale irregularities in the electoral rolls for the Palampur Municipal Corporation elections, claiming that genuine young voters were excluded while votes of outsiders were included.
Kapoor alleged that around 250 votes from Ward 1 of Lohana were registered in Nachir Panchayat, while 90 Dalit voters were deleted from Ward 9, Chowki. He also claimed that 20-30 old voters were systematically removed from each ward.
He further alleged that the voter list was not made public on the day of its final publication and that the supplementary list was not provided to BJP candidates until the last date for filing nominations.
