Bengaluru, May 13 -- A sharp political confrontation has erupted in Karnataka over the SC and ST reservation issue, with the BJP accusing the Congress government of "betrayal" of Dalit communities and warning of a statewide agitation if what it calls "injustice" is not corrected immediately.

The controversy escalated after senior BJP leaders launched a coordinated attack on the state government, alleging that the reservation framework has been weakened and that constitutional safeguards for marginalised communities are being undermined.
