Bengaluru, Sept. 28 -- The Karnataka government's plan to take an all-party delegation to the Centre seeking drought relief has hit a political roadblock, with the BJP and JD(S) refusing to join the proposed delegation ahead of a Central assessment of the state's drought situation.
The setback came after JD(S) leader and union Minister H D Kumaraswamy and Leader of Opposition R Ashoka made it clear that their parties would stay away from the delegation proposed by Chief Minister D K Shivakumar.
The government had announced the plan at the conclusion of the special session of the Karnataka Legislature, with Shivakumar saying an all-party delegation would seek a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to press Karnataka's case for drought...
