Hyderabad, July 28 -- Bhongir Lok Sabha MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy on Tuesday accused the BJP and the BRS of misleading the public over the paper leak issue, asserting that the Congress government in Telangana has conducted recruitment examinations transparently without any irregularities.

In a video statement, the MP said the NEET paper leak took place in the first week of May and alleged that the Centre acted only after widespread protests by the younger generation.

He said the concerned union Minister was made to resign only in the last week of July, adding that the Narendra Modi government was compelled to act after sustained public pressure.
