Bhubaneswar, May 20 -- The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has warned of launching statewide protests if the BJP government in Odisha fails to address the problems faced by farmers.
BJD Vice-President and former minister Sanjay Kumar Das Burma alleged that the BJP government's "anti-farmer policies" had pushed cultivators to the streets to fight for their rights.
He claimed that the promises made by the BJP to the farming community during the 2024 General Elections had proved hollow.
