Bhubaneswar, June 12 -- The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Friday launched a strong attack on the Odisha Government, alleging that the BJP's slogan of "Nari Shakti Vandan" has turned into "suppression of women", citing the alleged misconduct, physical assault and intimidation faced by Chameli Ojha, Sarpanch of Tikhiri Panchayat under Mahakalapada Block.
Addressing a press conference at the BJD party office here, BJD Rajya Sabha MP Sulata Deo and former Chairperson of the Odisha State Women's Commission Minati Behera raised serious concerns over women's safety in the state.
