Bhubaneswar, Oct. 31 -- The Opposition BJD on Saturday alleged that personal data of around 3,897 State Bank of India (SBI) customers had been leaked on the dark web, exposing them to potential financial fraud, and demanded a thorough investigation into the breach.

In a statement, BJD Media Coordinator Lenin Mohanty said the leaked information reportedly included mobile numbers, dates of birth, addresses, email IDs, CIF IDs and loan details.

He questioned the bank's failure to detect the alleged breach.

He also alleged that SBI employees in Odisha had repeatedly demanded cash from customers for withdrawals, loan services, insurance claim settlements and other banking transactions.
