Bhubaneswar, July 24 -- The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Friday expressed grief over the death of a devotee during the Bahuda Yatra in Puri and demanded a judicial inquiry into all deaths and injuries that occurred during the Rath Yatra and Bahuda Yatra due to alleged lapses in crowd management.
BJD Vice-President and former Minister Sanjay Kumar Das Burma described the incident as another tragic example of what he termed the Odisha Government's continuing administrative failure in managing the world's largest annual spiritual congregation.
