Bhubaneswar, July 13 -- The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Monday urged the Odisha State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (OSCPCR) to issue show-cause notices to Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, BJP state president Manmohan Samal and former MLA Pravat Ranjan Biswal over the alleged use of minor children in a political rally held in Bhubaneswar on Sunday.
In a memorandum submitted to the OSCPCR Chairperson,a delegation of the principal Opposition party alleged that children were made to participate in a BJP rally organised in connection with a joining programme held in the state capital on July 12.
Former BJD MLA Pravat Ranjan Biswal joined the BJP at the programme.
